In our last update, we left you with the story of Maxwell who had been suffering from a virulent skin complaint and had to be taken into the local hospital for treatment. Thank you for your outpouring of good wishes, and compassion. Thankfully, Maxwell is now well and thriving as this photo shows … heartfelt good news for Valentine’s day!

With the new school year now firmly underway (school starts in January in Zambia) I am pleased to report the following important developments at the community school, thanks to you our funders and volunteers:
-
- - Each of our 414 students has been tested and all are now placed in grade-appropriate classes
- - Classes are on a staggered schedule so that no more than 20 students are in the classroom at any one time
- - All Chimoza teachers have been fully trained and certified
- - We now have four fully completed classroom/office buildings with electricity
(a not-so-small miracle for this area of Zambia) - - Our new clinic for the children is 100% complete
Many exciting things are coming together as The Q Fund prepares to further its mission in 2009. Stay tuned for some major announcement in March!
